Its design harmoniously combines aesthetics with functionality. The massive, retractable ash wood door with its impressive design plays the first fiddle in this design composition. Their subtle colour was achieved with a proprietary lacquering technology based on the manual application of a patina layer, which emphasised the beauty of the natural grain of the wood.
The innovation of the design is underlined by the mobile elements. The ash top of the kitchen island, based on the pioneering concept of the corner pull-out, conceals a finely designed storage space for small kitchen trinkets. The abundance of shelves organising the space is hidden behind a movable front based on a proprietary opening system.
CAPTIVATING SIMPLICITY OF FORM
The worktop of the kitchen island, like the dishwasher compartment, is made of quartz sinter with a deep colour and intriguing texture to the touch. The same material is also used between the fronts of the metallic cabinets, adding to the aesthetic consistency. Functional qualities are emphasised by capacious tall cargo cupboards and drawers on the island front. The kitchen’s striking form is accentuated by the sophisticated colour scheme, in which shades of brushed ash have been juxtaposed with the intense terracotta colour decorating the fronts of the base cabinets. The elaborate details in the form of handle cut-outs make the mundane act of cooking a full aesthetic experience.
